a little sketchy beginning, no?
Well to start this, there is preview. Kind of. This is one of the sketchpages I got so far.
( BIG PICTURE )
As you can see I already have 22 pokemon here. Thats a nice step on my way to the dreamy 151.
Currently I am outlining them and trying to figure out some colours, names and whatnot.
They will not be in chronological order, but I hope you dont mind. i want to publish the starters all together in one big update.

What is all this about?
What is the Wohinn Region?
The Wohinn region is my own creation and a fictional addition to the likewise fictional Pokemon-world. I am still just starting to invent it, but as soon as there is a nice little bunch of information, I can hand over to you people, I will post a whole post dedicated to the regions description
Ah, and what is this page about?
This blog will be my pokedex of the region Wohinn. Complete with dexentries, pictures, attackguides and (sooner or later) route-descriptions. it is not supposed to be a game or something. It is just a fakedex for wich I spend a lot of love, creativity and time, when I am not working on my other Projects.
Why do you make all this?
As already mentioned this is like a hobby of mine. Inventing pokemon is quite entertaining for a biology student and pokemaniac of the first second ( One day I want to turn around to my grandchildren and say "When I was your age, there where only 151 Pokemon!" This would be nice. ). The other reason why I made this is probably a kind of dissapointment towards the newer pokemondesigns. Kanto was neat. Johto was fine! But after this the quality (SLOWLY) sank. I mean, seriously: (lolitakomplexpokemon)
Come on, game freak! We know you could do better than this!
So well, back to the question. So I thought "If I dont like the new pokemon. Maybe I should invent some myself." It was just a sugar-rush idea first. But somehow it kept rolling and now its where it is today.
Do you use references?
Actually yes. For the dispersion of types, number of pokemon and for their spreading over the Wohinn region I used Pokemon Red/Blue and the Kanto region as a guideline. And , well.. nature is a big inspirationplace as well.
Do you take requests?
Not quite. But I am openminded for all kinds of advice, ideas and inspiration! So just throw it at me!
What programms do you use?
Mostly I use SAI. Sometimes Photoshop 7. The spritework of Grauncher is made via paint, though : )
Any last proclaims?
yes! The pokemon game series belongs to game freak! All the references belong to their restricted owners, not me! Only the Artwork and the ideas for the Wohinn-pokemon belong to me. Some sprites where created by Grauncher.

About
Artist: Alexandra Damjonat
Born and Living in: Mönchengladbach, Germany
Nicks: jamew85, gepardenforelle, tophatkraken, suppenhyaene
Country: Germany
Was an artist since her early days and drew since the kindergarten. Combined with an extraordinairy interrest for biology and anatomy since she was a small kid, she likes to create biological explainations and pictures about things usually not depicted as natural.
Another addition to this is her love for videogames, wich started very early with an old school gameboy and a NES-system.
Combined this creates an interresting trial through Videogame-biology.
Note: I recently dropped my biology studies because of money problems and now am in search for a job.
